Player Development Program

A 10 step program designed for youth golfers to improve their golfing abilities by focusing on key  skills and behavioral changes. Young golfers will learn how to improve their lifestyle to improve their overall health and performance, while learning lifetime skills for success off the course. This is an in-depth mentoring program combining golf technique, health improvement, and psychological outlook. Face to face sessions can be combined with telephone and virtual communication to foster connection and ensure availability for support.

Step 1: Course Introduction

  • Making a Yardage Book- Your map to success. Learn how to read it, adjust it for your needs, and keep you focused on your strategy and goals.
  • Breathing 101
  • Task assignment: making a yardage book at home- Diary on decision making

Step 2: The Basics

  • Task discussion
  • Making a yardage book continued: taking notes and statistics
  • Introduction to Nutrition & Hydration
  • Analyzing a round of golf:  The Ugly, The Bad and the Good

Step 3: Practice

  • Practice & The Pareto Principle – 80% of the results come from 20% of the work. Make sure you are working on the right areas of your game!

  • Quality or Quantity – making practice count

Step 4: Beyond the Swing

  • Putting
  • The 7 Habits of a Highly Successful Golfer
  • Task assignment: Pick a pro, analyze their strengths and weaknesses

Step 5: State of Mind

  • Playing from the HEART – Learning to enjoy the game again. Embracing it’s challenges and decreasing stress to let your A-game shine through

Step 6: Golf Beyond the Course
